Primax Announces Appointment of New Chairman and Vice Chairman

Primax Electronics Ltd. (TWSE: 4915) held a board meeting following the annual shareholders' meeting on May 24. In response to rapid technological changes, Primax is embracing "X-in-one sensory fusion” technology integration, with aims of achieving Group synergy through efficient integration of company resources. As a result, the board elected Yung-Chung Pan as the new Chair, while Yung-Tai Pan will continue to serve as the Vice Chair.

Mr. Yung-Chung Pan is currently the Chairman of Tymphany Acoustic Technology Ltd. He has served Primax Group for over 35 years, with the split being 25 years at Primax and the last 10 years at Tymphany. He was previously the General Manager of Primax's business unit for many years and has been Primax’s board of director for numerous years. With the rise of edge computing and GenAI applications, the Group will broaden its integration of interface, audio and visual technologies (3-senses-in-1), and further expand into X-in-one sensory fusion technology solutions to reach out to more customers and business opportunities. This would allow Primax to cater to various customer demand, offering tailor made solutions and applications to better adapt and grow in the AI era. By capitalizing on opportunities in edge computing and AI, Primax is excited about the future and its ability to create greater value for shareholders.

Furthermore, Primax will establish an AI Technology Innovation R&D Center, led by Yung-Tai Pan, Vice Chairman of Primax. The center will integrate the Group's R&D resources and focus on next-generation technologies, with emphasis on components, AI sensor fusion modules, and system integration solutions. AI will profoundly impact technology products and services in the future, and Primax will embrace this trend by offering customers a wider array of AI products, features and solutions.
